Content Marketing for a Central London Law Firm

THE CHALLENGE

We were initially contacted by this London-based law firm in October 2020 as we had been recommended online for our copywriting & SEO services. A partner at the firm was looking for assistance with writing legal articles and blog posts that would attract further clients to their site.

They had previously worked with freelancers with a legal background, but found that the freelancers did not have an understanding of how to write content that was optimised for websites, as such, he turned to us. We were tasked with writing technically accurate legal articles which were topical and optimised with keywords that would attract their B2B clients.

When creating content for professional services clients, we are always acutely aware of the need to provide accurate and informative content – whilst also ensuring that the content is optimised to drive traffic towards a website or landing page.

Having worked with law firms before, we already had a strong understanding of this industry which we were able to build on to ensure that content was relevant for this client’s particular specialism – commercial and intellectual property law. We used listening tools in these areas to ascertain

trending topics, for example “GDPR Compliance for Businesses post-Brexit” and used this as a basis for the content we created. Thorough research was undertaken to verify all of our information and LexisNexis and Westlaw were used to cite relevant cases.

Once we were happy with the accuracy of the content, we used our SEO softwares to search for relevant keywords for each topic. These keywords were then added to our content, resulting in highly optimised, accurate legal articles that our client could use on his site.

THE RESULTS

86% increase in search traffic

Whilst this client did not onboard us for SEO purposes, whilst creating high quality and optimised content for his site we were able to drive more  organic traffic to his site – increasing his conversion opportunities.

Since October, we have been given repeat work from this client, having seen an increase in their online readership and enquiries.
